Divanhana presents us "Na Kušlatu se mahrama vihori" a timeless ballad of a gem from the Zvornik region.
Divanhana presents the song “Na Kušlatu se mahrama vihori” to all admirers of their music. It is yet another originally written song of this popular band, for which the actors themselves state was the nucleus of creativity of the new, highly awarded album “Zavrzlama”
“Na Kušlatu se mahrama vihori was the true nucleus of all the creativity that has been anchored on our last studio release. It is a song about love, about beauty, about timeless sadness, and about the gem from the Zvornik region, the Kušlat mosque. We have woven only the most sincere notes that we felt in it, and we are absolutely sure that our beloved audience will be able to feel every detail of the song with the same emotional spectrum”, said Neven Tunjić, the band’s pianist.
The video was recorded in the concert hall “Vatroslav Lisinski” in Zagreb, and the editing and color grading are signed by the band’s longtime associate Sallex Perić. The realization of the video was completed by MONO Digital, lead by Davorin Đuranović and Dino Osmanović.
This is a song which has received many outstanding reviews from Eminent media during the year. The British journalist Garth Cartwright wrote that this song was a masterpiece of the recent history of sevdah, and the Songlines Magazine had highlighted and recommended the mentioned song from the entire Zukva Album, so it is not surprising that the song has experienced its own video adaptation.
“In todays world the objects of nature don’t often capture our attention because their language does not have such expressive power nor the knowledge of todays vices and affinities. Accepting this fact, “Na Kušlatu se mahrama vihori”, wants to convey the whole idea of time and space in a pretentious way, from the music that seems like an echo of ancient times, through the video which is a symbol of some kind of dreaming with the intention to make the audience feel our spirit and experience everything in this song, while listening and watching it”, said Selma Droce, the band’s vocal.
